Education
Christian education is central to our practice of the faith at Church of the Epiphany. We believe very strongly that our whole lives are properly spent growing in the faith. In other words, our work forming ourselves as Christians is never done.
We offer Christian formation classes most Sundays from September to June for all ages. Classes are offered at 9:15 am.
From age three to fifth grade, we offer a program called Godly Play, which is based on the idea that children already have a relationship with God and that our task is to nurture what they already now. The program is story based, with strong influence from the Montessori movement.
For children from sixth grade through high school, we have a program called Journey to Adulthood. It begins with Rite 13 and youth gradually move to the second level, Journey to Adulthood.
Most Sundays, we offer two programs for adults - bible study and another focused on particular topics. Topics have included: "The Book of Common Prayer," an "Introduction to the Episcopal Church," presentations from local service agencies, and more.
